Open Doors is our outreach to those in need. We offer sandwiches and tea and coffee on Mondays and hot meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you would like to volunteer, we would love to hear from you, just email or call us.
Founded in 2005, St Pio Friary is located on Sedgfield Terrace in the heart of the city. Since then, we have established our soup kitchen, Open Doors, to serve those in need with hot meals, clothing, and a place where they feel welcomed and encouraged not to lose hope.
St Patrick's Mission, a co-operation between the Diocese of Leeds and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal that seeks to create a culture of Catholic spiritual renewal and missionary outreach in Bradford’s city centre, is one of the key ways that we are working to bring about the renewal of the Catholic faith where we are.
We have a regular schedule of services, including Holy Mass each day of the week, Eucharistic Adoration, and time for the Sacrament of Confession.
The friars at St Pio's also minister to the faithful through parish missions, youth retreats, pilgrimages, and other evangelisation events.
